Stretch Mark Revision in Wollongong

Skin repair. Texture refinement. Progressive regeneration.

At Scar Atelier, stretch mark revision focuses on improving the appearance, texture, and quality of skin affected by stretch marks.

Stretch marks develop when the skin stretches rapidly due to factors such as growth, pregnancy, weight change, or hormonal shifts. This stretching can cause disruption to collagen and elastin fibres within the dermis, leaving visible lines or textural changes in the skin.

Our approach focuses on stimulating the skin’s natural regenerative processes to support collagen remodelling and improve the way stretch marks integrate with the surrounding skin.

About the Treatment

Stretch mark revision uses an advanced inkless scar revision technique to stimulate cellular repair and collagen production within the affected tissue.

During treatment, controlled microchannels are created within the stretch mark to break down disorganised scar tissue and activate the skin’s natural healing response. A regenerative serum is infused during treatment to support cellular renewal and improve skin quality.

Over time, this process can help to:

  • Improve skin texture

  • Encourage collagen regeneration

  • Reduce the depth and visibility of stretch marks

  • Support smoother, more resilient skin

Common treatment areas include:

  • Abdomen

  • Hips

  • Thighs

  • Buttocks

  • Breasts

  • Arms

Results are progressive, with improvement typically occurring across a series of treatments.

Many clients experience approximately 30–70% improvement per session, depending on factors such as stretch mark age, skin quality, and individual healing response.

Treatment Information

  • Both newer (red/pink) and mature (white/silver) stretch marks may be treated. Each area is assessed individually to determine suitability.

  • Treatment appointments typically take 1 - 2 hours, depending on the size and number of marks being treated.

  • Mild redness, swelling, and sensitivity in the treated area are common and usually settle within a few days.

The skin may feel similar to a mild sunburn initially.

  • Results develop gradually as collagen remodelling occurs. Improvements often become noticeable in the following 6-8 weeks following treatment and continue to evolve over time.

  • Many clients require a series of treatments spaced several weeks apart. The number of sessions depends on the stretchmark, depth, and treatment goals.

  • Pricing varies depending on the size and complexity of the scar being treated. Detailed pricing will be discussed during your consultation before proceeding with treatment.
