Paramedical Camouflage in Wollongong

Tone correction. Scar blending. Restored confidence.

At Scar Atelier, paramedical camouflage is a specialised treatment designed to help scars or areas of pigmentation blend more naturally with the surrounding skin.

Some scars heal lighter than the surrounding tissue, leaving visible contrast that can be difficult to conceal with makeup. Paramedical camouflage works by carefully implanting pigment into the skin to restore a closer colour match, softening the visibility of the scar.

The goal is subtle integration - allowing the treated area to blend more seamlessly with your natural skin tone.

About the Treatment

Paramedical camouflage is a form of advanced medical tattooing performed using specialised pigments selected to match your skin tone.

During treatment, pigment is gently implanted into areas where colour loss has occurred. This technique can help reduce the contrast between scar tissue and surrounding skin, creating a more uniform appearance.

This treatment may be suitable for:

  • Hypopigmented (lighter) scars

  • Surgical scars

  • Stretch marks

  • Vitiligo

  • Areas of pigment loss following injury or trauma

Every treatment begins with a detailed assessment and colour-matching process to ensure the most natural outcome possible.

In some cases, Inkless Scar Revision treatments may be recommended prior to camouflage to improve the skin texture before pigment is introduced.

Results typically develop gradually as the pigment settles during the healing process.
